How to receive technical assistance?
A.
The first call should be made to the reseller
for assistance. If
the reseller is unable to resolve the issue
the contact The Ortlin Group for assistance.

What type of security is provided during the
transmission of my data back-and-forth between
the Ortlin-Backup servers?
A.
When data is transmitted to\from the Ortlin-Backup
servers it is tunneled through OpenSSH.
By default we utilize 3DES encryption.
You also have the option of using Blowfish
encryption.

What type of security is provided during the
storage of my data on the Ortlin-Backup’s servers?
A.
Data is stored on an encrypted filesystem

What operating systems can I use Ortlin-Backup with?
A.
The Ortlin-Backup application has been tested on
Microsoft Windows 95\98\NT\W2K\XP

Do I need to use the Ortlin-Backup software to use
the service?
A.
No. You should be
able to utilize the Ortlin-Backup service on any
platform that can tunnel RSYNC through SSH

Reseller Questions
Q.
What is a reseller?
A.
A reseller is one who creates and maintains Ortlin-Backup customers and
receives a percentage of the business they create.
Q.
What are the requirements for becoming and maintaining
reseller status?
A.
There are 3 requirements:
- You
must have an active Ortlin-Backup account
- You must provide the first level of technical
support to your customer
- You must provide an address where will mail your
check
Q.
How do I earn money as a reseller?
A.
You earn money by signing up and maintaining
accounts. At the
end of each month your commission totals will
be calculated. If
payment has not been received from one of your
accounts then commission on that account will
NOT be included during that commission cycle.
When payment is received, commission
for that payment will be included during the
next commission cycle.
Q.
How do I receive payment as a reseller?
A.
After the commission totals have been calculated
a check will be issued and mailed to the resellers
address as it appears on their Ortlin-Backup account.
Q.
Can I loose my reseller status?
A.
The only way to loose your reseller status is
by not keeping an active Ortlin-Backup account.
If you do not keep your own account current
then you will loose the commission relationship
to the accounts you have signed up.
